Blanc Fuji

Good overall spot for couples, clean and tucked away nicely in a quiet area. But not too far away from shops and food places.

The breakfast was absolutely delightful.

Not your usual hotel experience, 2 separate rooms for 4 pax with sauna facilities within your room. Love the privacy for each room. 1 room is equipped with standing shower and the other is with onsen bathtub and a mini kitchenette with wine fridge. Breakfast was great, good portion and healthy meal. Back of the hotel, you can see Mount Fuji. If you are driving, look out for the hotel sign as the road entrance is narrow.

This is a trailer hotel. Every room is a trailer with wheels but stationary. They are positioned side by side up the hill. The distance from the car park is a series of up and down path with stairs and is also pebbled. It will be difficult to roll your luggage on it and staff does not help (looks like there is only 1 staff on duty for the whole place). The walk from the car park to your room will also get tiring overtime especially when it’s cold. Same for the walk to breakfast and concierge and anything else. Might be better off being in a hotel where it is warm most of the time. There is no view of Fuji from most of the rooms as it is not positioned that way or it is blocked by trees. You will have to get out of your room and walk up to look at Mt Fuji. Breakfast timing is inflexible. It is fixed at a certain timing and you have to reserve it before hand. On check out day, check out timing is 10am. I asked whether we could have breakfast after check out since we will be busy getting ready to check out before that and they said no. That is quite inflexible. Especially when check out timing of 10am is way earlier than normal. The room that I stayed in is the most standard room for 2, and it is very squeezy. We had to move furniture to lay our luggages on the floor. The bathtub is actually located outside your room and is outdoor. Can’t imagine using it during winter. It is only covered by a cloth divider. The sink tap doesn’t have consistent hot water and also takes too long for hot water to come. I am always washing my hands in ice cold water. Overall I do not find it to be value for money nor the supposed aesthetics it has. Staying in the big hotel right beside would have been the better choice.
