The Village Yufuin Onsen Glamping

We had a great time there. The interior of the tent was very stylish and had enough heating for zero degree weather. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The whole arrangement was super thoughtful: from the welcome intro to the free flow drinks and snack table and the fireworks after the BBQ dinner. The private onsen was also great!

Our arrival was met with a warm welcome from a Chinese-speaking staff member who proved to be very helpful and friendly. However, we soon discovered that our private onsen tent did not have a private toilet. The site's limited size meant that there were nothing to do except BBQ. While the food quality was good, we found the breakfast portion to be rather small. We were given only two small marshmallows for BBQ, which was not enough for our group consisting of two adults and two children. When I asked if we could have more marshmallows for kids to try bbq, a Japanese-speaking man with glasses responded curtly, saying 'U already taken.' I was not impressed by his rude attitude, which spoiled the atmosphere of our evening. For the few pieces of marshmallow, it leaves a very bad impression to the guests. That is why I always prefer to stay international hotel when I visit Jp because Japanese standard of hospitality has much room for improvement. Inflexible especially when they cannot speak english, they will pretend not hearing what u said.

My first Glamping experience here will be hard to beat!
