Hi, we were not at all happy with our stay At Tierney's Guesthouse and had to leave after the first night out of the two nights booked because it was so so bad. Normally the hotels I book here are fantastic but we were utterly disappointed. The rooms were very shabby and filthy, very dated And all light shades were damaged, the bathroom (or what was converted into a bathroom) was very smelly Which we could smell in the bedroom. It smelled like stale urine, there was hair on the floor, a sink at the end of the bed. We were overlooking some flat roof. The photos were completely deceiving. Also they said there was free parking - it wasn't their free parking - it belonged to the council. Also they said there was food and drink downstairs- Again, they piggybacked someone else's business. Gangsters. I have explained how disappointed I was to both individuals at the reception that day and they said they would be in contact with me. I haven't heard anything back from them yet. They didn't even ask if we enjoyed our stay AND they didn't even check what our actual check out Date was. I would appreciate a refund for this stay for both nights as this price was way too much for the conditions we were exposed to. If not, I'll be taking this further and requesting a charge back with my bank. Also, I would consider taking this accommodation off Hotels.com. This is not up to your usual standard of accommodation. The lady that greeted us was so lovely. Helped us find the parking and with what to do and eat in Kinsale. Beware the walls are thin so can hear a lot (someone had a dog that was barking late at night). Perfect for the price though.
