Very friendly staff

This was the worst hostel I have stayed in. The rooms were extremely small, and the room included a small shower area without a door, which is really uncomfortable for single travelers. Unless you are traveling with a group of friends and book the whole room, I would not recommend staying in the shared rooms. They placed 6 beds in a room that barely had space for 2. I stayed in room 15, which was close to the reception and also near a smoking room, so the smell constantly came into the room. People were smoking a lot during my stay, so if you are booking a family room and have kids, or if you are sensitive to cigarette smoke, you should be aware of this. They do not provide towels, so make sure you bring your own. You can rent one from the hostel, but it is quite expensive. You also need to leave a deposit for the key card, so keep that in mind, it’s better if you have euros for the deposit, although they also accept card. The lockers were not very good, and you have to ask for a key at reception to use them. The only positive point is that the hostel was relatively close to the main attractions and you could walk to most places.

The shower and washrooms are always wet but expect it’s cheap and good and the staff is nice

Receptionist is a crazy man. If you ask anything secondly he could be angry over you. 2 times I have been saw. But with us, he was not bad.

We have just returned from a short trip to Amsterdam. This is a very basic hotel, I'd call it a hostel. We had a family room, there was a toilet and shower right outside our room, it was shared with another family room. The place is cleaned every day, the toilets are spotless. It is however quite dated but if you just want somewhere to sleep then this is ideal. There is a room to make drinks plus a fridge and a microwave. I am used to having a kettle in my room but this is not the case here. The staff and other residents are all friendly, a lot of people stay here whilst working in the city, such as cyclist delivery drivers. I would use it again, it's warm, clean and cheap.
