The Vale Rusutsu

Only after I booked the Vale was it made known that no facilities would be open, not even a cafe or the onsen. I only saw one front desk staff when I checked in and checked out, nobody answered the phone. I can deal with all those parts and be self-sufficient. But my east-facing room with blackout curtains was an oven by 8am (bed is right next to the floor to ceiling windows) and there was no A/C to help. The room size was great and kitchen was well-stocked. But I would def not come back here, even during high season as it’s not ski-in/ski-out and the gigantic parking lot is terrible view from the room.
