Host is super friendly and helpful! The rooms and common areas are very clean and well maintained. Kitchen is well equipped. She even provided matcha, hojicha and sencha. I will definitely stay here the next time I visit Uji again!

This totel is a gem of find. It's located near JR Uji station for around 9 minute walking with great convinience for tram transportation. You could snap the lowest price 0 or 1 days before check-in date for about ** per room with either Japanese-style room, or western-style room, or dormitory available. On arriving in Uji in check-in-date morning, you could store the luggage before check-in, leading to a easy Uji tour free of a baggage. Even if being not able to follow English, the proprietress was welcoming to introduce facilities and steep tea for you. You could enjoy a private room with public bathrooms, washbasins and washing machines, while amenities such as a mattress, quilt, pillow, toothbrush, toothpaste were supplied for free. I highly recommend Japanese-style rooms since the atmosphere is serene and secluded on the door locked on, as if you lived in your own home with a Japnanese courtyard.
