25.10.27From the moment we walked in everything about this day was the opposite of what you would think a stay in Japan is like. We felt like we were at a hostel in a Third World country..
The twin bed was cut off from a cabinet above, nothing is locked, except for a small walk on your door, where the code is displayed for anybody to see when the door is open. The amenities were not restocked. The garbage was not taken out in the shower and bathrooms, not cleaned and the entire four nights that we were there.
The “towel“ that was given barely wrapped around me and only covered my chest. Multiple complaints from other people written in notes as well so it wasn’t just us.
We felt very taken advantage of for the high price we paid for this accommodation and it is nothing like what our other Japanese accommodations have been. Considering what the Kyoto tourism board has for accommodation requirements, I’m surprised this place is still in business.
