Stone Mountain Inn

We booked for the July 4th festivities and were very happy staying at Stone Mountain. The inn had low occupancy at the time so it moved our reservations to the resort on the same property and we were very thankful they took care of that for us. The rooms were nice. The staff and amenities were great. Overall great stay.

After reading several mixed reviews we decided to give the Inn a chance. If you are looking for a place inexpensive and close to Stone mtn the Inn may be for you. The Inn is located straight across the road from the parking lot in front of the sky lift. My family of 4 stayed 1 night and it was a good stay. The Inn is not the Hampton so don’t expect it to be. You will see some cobwebs on the outside entrance, your toilet may stop working bit on the other hand you will have access to the Evergreen Resort located about 10 mins from the Inn which has and indoor heated pool and outdoor heated pool and a continental breakfast. The lady at the front desk was very polite and helpful however if you make a reservation you will find it near impossible to contact a person to answer any questions as there is no one there during at the actual location but on weekends this time of year. Make sure you have food , drinks and ice if you don’t want to leave for the day and bring a cooler. There is a microwave in the lobby but not in the room. The hotel and rooms are dated but that’s the style of this hotel. The carpet wasn’t filthy but seemed like they needed a better vacuum. We were in a room with. two full beds and a saga bed. The beds are extremely soft can’t say the same for Sofa mattress . I also want to mention the rooms are very spacious and the tv worked great the shower had pressure and the hot water was great. The negative our toilet would not flush the entire night and I tried to call front desk using the phone and could not teach anyone but may have been my error. We rang the bell as we were direct to do for service and again no assistance. Over all I would give a 3 just because of the toilet issues and the fact the sliding doors were difficult to go in and out. This is a room somewhere between a hotel and resort and the value for money is great as is the location for park. Yes I would stay again.
