Kind owner, very clean space and house in which hostel is in is roomy and has a fantastic balcony and hammock to chill.
I REALLY loved this place and if I come to Ishigaki again Ill stay there!
25.10.09 Good location to near by bus stop to from airport, family mart, supermarket, sea view, low noise.
Big common space and clean facilities include laundry and cooking. Good for stay for a week than a day.
Single room may better than single bed.
25.09.01 지난 6월 직장을 그만두고 이곳저곳 여행 중입니다.
이시가키는 8월에 방문했는데, 우기에 태풍이 올 수도 있다고 하여 비 오는 날을 대비해 9박 10일 일정으로 입도했습니다.
하지만 불행이(?)도 9박10일 모두 날씨가 좋아서 일정이 너무 길었네요.
처음 2박 3일은 다른 숙소에서 지내고, 나머지 7박은 윤 테라스 게스트하우스에서 머물렀습니다. 지내는 내내 날씨가 좋아 여행 초반에 관광과 수영을 다 마치고, 이후에는 숙소에서 보내는 시간이 많았습니다. 7박 8일 동안 숙소에서 지내며 느낀 점을 공유합니다.
1. 침구
손님이 체크아웃하면 즉시 모든 침구를 걷어 세탁합니다. 다시 쓰는 일은 절대 없었습니다.
2. 청소
체크아웃 시간인 오전 10시가 지나면 주인께서 직접 구석구석 꼼꼼하게 청소하십니다. 지내는 동안 지저분하다고 느낀 적은 전혀 없었습니다.
3. 샤워실/화장실
실내에 각각 1개, 실외에도 각각 1개씩 있습니다. 숙박 기간 중 풀하우스가 된 적도 있었지만, 게스트마다 생활 루틴이 달라 붐비는 경우는 없었습니다. 다만 일부 게스트가 지저분하게 사용할 때도 있었지만, 사장님께서 수시로 관리해 주셔서 문제는 없었습니다.
다른 후기에서 본 곰팡이 문제는 저는 전혀 느끼지 못했습니다. 저도 바닷가에 살아서 느끼는데, 바닷가 특유의 습기는 어쩔 수 없는 부분이 있다고 생각합니다.
4. 위치
공항버스 정류장에서 가깝고, 버스터미널과 페리터미널도 도보 이동이 가능합니다. 주변에 맛있는 라면집과 신선한 회를 살 수 있는 어물전이 있으며, 마트도 걸어갈 거리에 있어 매일같이 초밥과 회를 사 먹었습니다.
옥상에서 바라보는 바다 전망도 좋았습니다.
5. 친절
언어 문제일 뿐, 사장님은 매우 친절하셨습니다. 제가 일본어를 할 줄 알았다면 더 좋았을 것 같습니다. 필요한 대화는 번역기를 통해 도와주셨습니다.
6. 규칙
불특정 다수가 함께 머무는 공간이기에 규칙이 확실히 필요하다고 생각합니다. 체크인/체크아웃 시간이나 공용공간 사용 등 이 숙소만의 규칙은 지키는 것이 좋습니다.
다음에 이시가키에 다시 온다면 꼭 다시 이곳에 머무를 생각입니다. 덕분에 좋은 추억을 많이 만들었습니다.
그래도 불만이 있는 분들은 돈을 조금 더 써서 클럽 메드에 가시는 걸 추천드립니다.
I quit my job in June and have been traveling around since then.
I visited Ishigaki in August. Since it was the rainy season and there was a chance of typhoons, I planned a 9-night, 10-day stay, expecting to lose a few days to bad weather.
For the first 2 nights, I stayed at another place, and for the remaining 7 nights, I stayed at Yun Terrace Guesthouse. Fortunately, the weather was great throughout my stay. I finished sightseeing and swimming in the early days, so I ended up spending more time at the guesthouse. Here’s my experience from staying there for 7 nights and 8 days:
1. Bedding
As soon as a guest checks out, all bedding is immediately removed and washed. They never reuse it.
2. Cleaning
After the 10 a.m. checkout time, the owner personally cleans every corner very thoroughly. During my stay, I never once felt that the place was dirty.
3. Showers/Toilets
There is one indoor shower and toilet, and one outdoor shower and toilet as well. Even when the guesthouse was full, it was never crowded since everyone had different routines. Some guests did leave things messy at times, but the owner cleaned and maintained the facilities regularly, so it was not an issue.
I also read some reviews about mold, but I personally didn’t notice it. Living near the sea myself, I understand that a certain level of humidity is unavoidable.
4. Location
It’s close to the airport bus stop and within walking distance to both the bus terminal and ferry terminal. There’s a delicious Ramen shops are nearby, as well as a fresh fish market where I bought sashimi almost every day.
The sea view from the rooftop was also lovely.
5. Hospitality
The owner was very kind—it was just the language barrier. I wish I could speak Japanese, but he was very helpful with translation apps when needed.
6. House Rules
Since it’s a shared space with various guests, clear rules are necessary. Things like check-in/check-out times and common area usage should be respected.
If I ever come back to Ishigaki, I would definitely stay here again. I made a lot of wonderful memories thanks to this guesthouse.
Still, if you’re the type to complain, I recommend spending a bit more money and staying at Club Med instead.
