26.05.06Great value for money in Manchester city center. The location is perfect and overall I had a good stay. The only small issue was with the reception — I was initially told I could check in at 13:30, but when I arrived, the Italian receptionist said the room wouldn’t be ready until 15:00. I understand the official check-in time, but after taking two flights, it was a bit tiring. Also, when I tried to book again for the same day, there was no availability.
That said, everything else was good, and I would still recommend this hostel. Thanks!
26.04.05I stayed in their 4 bed dorm room for 3D2N and found it comfortable for my stay. Ear plugs are necessary for light sleepers as the bar downstairs does get loud and the addition of a floor fan in the room is essential. Even with the window open at night, I found my bunk to be quite warm (travelled in March) and the fan was a life saver. Just note that you're sharing that fan with everyone else in the room. You're provided with a single pillow and blanket. There is also a mini shelf. Each bunk has 2x 3 pin plug sockets and USB C ports. You are provided with 2 storage compartments. 1 in your bunk and 1 in the locker. Locker size is slightly bigger than your standard overhead suitcase you would bring into an aeroplane. Think of it more like a caged locker. You will need to bring your own padlocks for both storage compartments.
Bunk choice is first come first serve.
The toilet was very clean, but the drainage in the shower takes a long time to drain. Pressure and temp was great. They provide hand wash and all-in-one body wash only.
Take note they have changed their name to MALACUNA. But so far if you search PH hotel it will take you to the same place(Google maps too).
Overall for a solo traveller - it was great and would come back.

26.01.26Everything is new and spotless. This hostel is better than many hotels in UK. Staff is super nice, there is a kitchen, the room and bathroom are spotless. Absolutely love this place! Ah, the name has changed to Malacuna (how cool is that!). Thank you!
