America's Best is the best place around Clearlake to stay that is good on your budget staff is welcoming and friendly always smiling

Run by a nice Indian family, well located near the center of Clearlake. However, there is very strong smell from the lake during hot summer months which makes the stay less pleasant.

I think overall the inn is good, however, the shower was leaking while I stayed there. The water was so weak so it was tough for us to get a good shower. Also, the lower lake area has bad odor during hot summer months so best to avoid visiting in those months.
