Considering I had to pay an extra €50 per night to host an additional guest (for which I originally HAD booked for 2 guests), this was quite possibly the worst hotel I’ve stayed at, EVER. The location was was terrible and given it was part of the old Navy base, it almost feels like an industrial site for which cars cannot access. Two of my ordered taxis didn’t know where to park and often cancelled due to the long distance on getting there. Hotel room itself was cold with no air-air conditioning or heater settings. No nearby shop so you have to travel at least 10 minutes to get groceries. I can’t believe this has so many good reviews. It looks like an old abandoned school. Not pleasant at all. There was a bald man who is terribly rude at the reception desk who barked at us for being in a queue behind a lady, insisting that he “ cannot deal with 100 requests at once” - even though it was just a simple ask to ensure our room was serviced. The only positive thing about the entire state was the ginger bloke named Toby. He done everything to make the stay worthwhile.

Very nice staff. It’s located in an old marina an it’s 20-25 minutes walking from Centraal. They have restaurant and also a bar, with their own craft beer. Considering the high prices for acomodation in Amsterdam, quite good price/quality ratio.
