I travel out of state over half the year whereas this is my hometown area i was born and raised therefore my parents and close family still live here except its 45minutes outside springfield city limits- now, not having a vehicle myself due to my traveling monthly, my current "official address" is still from my little town and parents address. Now springfield has this "rule" that all motels/hotels cant' be a'LOCAL" and some even go as far as not even a MISSOURI ID is allowed . The few that do accept local ID's usually have a cash deposit of minimu $150 and up, you get that back upon checkout but that's still a heavy penny just to rent a bed a night or two. Red Roof has a minimum of $50 deposit and also accepts pets!! Not only is this place absolutely spotless and has microwave, mini fridge, personal coffee maker, and girls they even provide the hair dryer for us busy business women needing to pack less and lighter to tug around place to place. They have beverages available downstairs by the lobby through out the day and night, hot coffee and cold juice. The staff is just above and beyond. Makes you really get the "family service" welcoming warmth and friendly service with a smile. Front desk workers even have puperoni dog sticks for my little furry travel companion.
