26.05.15This hotel is everything you want and need! The room was beautiful and comfortable. The view of the harbour absolutely delivered ! This hotel's staff is its biggest asset - always friendly and welcoming and quick to resolve any issues! This is a winning team. The restaurant has a bit of a limited menu but what is on offer is made with care - there is a bit of a wait but it's worth it. The entire hotel is tastefully furnished and has a welcoming feel. Absolutely impressed!
26.04.23 The Paxton Hotel.. Wow where to start ❤️
I was staying at The Paxton Hotel in the lead-up to my Ironman when I had an accident while cycling and ended up injured just days before the race. Being so far from home, it could have been a very difficult and isolating experience — but the team at this hotel made it anything but that.
From the moment it happened, the staff went above and beyond to look after me. The level of care, kindness, and genuine support I received made me feel like I wasn’t alone — it honestly felt like I had family around me.
A special mention to Michael, the duty manager, for his professionalism and compassion throughout. Michael and Philani from security were incredible — always ready to help and making sure I was safe and supported. And Kirsty and Sibahle at reception were amazing — so warm, attentive, and helpful during my stay.
I also want to thank all of the staff at the hotel — every interaction, no matter how small, contributed to making a tough situation much easier to deal with.
It’s rare to come across a team like this. I’ll always remember how I was treated here, and I’m incredibly grateful. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more — not just for the facilities, but for the people who truly make the place special.
