Playa Sur Tenerife

Great little hotel ….. it’s not 5 star, and is not pretending to be, but it’s location at the end of the beach is 👍 It’s affordable, has a pool in the ☀️, a poolside bar, the beach immediately outside, and many bars and restaurants within 5 mins walking distance … what’s not to like 😎☀️

I was surprised that it's so much better than many of the reviews suggest. I found it really amazing, the room was spacious and clean and had nice wooden furniture. The breakfast was sooooo great, so many different things! Love the ocean view right there too! Would totally recommend this hotel!

Poorly maintained dirty rooms ,full of sand due to poorly fitting doors and windows.a very noisy hotel due to no soundproofing and the lack of door seals which cushion the room doors and stop the ingress of blown sand due to badly fitted sliding balcony doors.Breakfast selection poor

The very best location for anyone interested in water sports. You’re right at the launch area for wind powered sports and rental stores are also there outside the hotel. The new rental lockers are too small for some board sizes. Short walk to town centre. No air conditioning in the rooms. With temperatures over 25 it’s impossible to keep rooms on the leeward side cool but temperature stays at uncomfortable level over night.. Not even a fan in the room to circulate air! Doesn’t matter in the winter but during warmer periods it’s impossible to sleep well due to heat. Smoking ban in the room balconies is not enforced so this causes cigarette smoke flowing in your room from other rooms balconies. Also all the outside tables at breakfast are smoking area - not cool. Breakfast needs some tune up as there is no variation between days or years- and something has always run out. Renovations are ongoing at the moment but don’t disturb too much.. could start a couple of hours later in the morning though. Pool area has been upgraded and is very stylish and comfortable now - but also there people are smoking all around.
