25.10.11Stayed here three times in September. Overpriced for what you get; many issues with the breakfast food served and other guests (and their misbehaving kids). Not a good choice for business travelers.

25.10.11The Grand Hotel Victory has a lot going for it, especially the pool and spa on the top floor, having a shopping center within the same building, and being within walking distance of the Caspian seaside. There are some downsides, though. The buffet breakfast is not very varied, and many of the items are overcooked. The top floor restaurant has a great view, but there were many children running around and screaming, which spoiled the effect. The Lobby coffee shop is open 24/7, which is great – but, it gets everything from the top floor restaurant: be prepared to wait for any food or drink you order. All rooms I’ve stayed in (three times in September) have a slight odor. The hotel is closer to my usual business destinations in Aktau, so it’s more convenient for me. But, with the tasteless breakfasts, the room odors, the screaming kids, and the generally higher room price, this hotel is not my top choice for future visits to Aktau.
