Super 8 Greencastle

Clean and comfy, breakfast is self serve, yogurt, milk, juices, coffee, cereal, hot waffles, toast and jelly but closes at 9am, right next to truck stops, mcd’s, Taco Bell, Burger King, xit 5 on 81.

We stayed two nights while attending a three day sporting event in Mercersburg about 20 minutes away. Lodging in Mercersburg was limited by parking and/or room size for two beds. Super 8 covered all this and more making the trade off of distance worthwhile for the price. Free continental breakfast included make your own Belgian waffles, yogurt, cereal, toast, juices, muffins, oatmeal, and coffee. I overheard staff address room concerns and requests for food restocking with kindness. Lobby and room service staff were friendly and professional in all of our interactions. Our room was largely clean and only noticed that the bathroom door should be repainted and its lock fixed. Vanity mirror was clearly newish and wonderful along with the large vanity sink. Pillows were great. Beds seemed up to date and were comfortable if a tiny bit soft for my premiered. AC worked well if a tad noisy though at checkout I reported to staff that each time it turned on the TV would turn off/on. They said they would look into it. The property borders a beautiful farm field on one side and the highway one street over on the other. Outside was relatively quiet while close to fast food options and gas stations. Downtown Greencastle is very close by car with plentiful well-reviewed restaurant options. This Super 8 is a great choice to visit Greencastle, Mercersburg, and surrounding towns.

I was very happy with the staff, location and cleanliness. Only recommendation is an upgrade to the AC as it was a little toasty that weekend. Other than that. It was amazing!
