26.03.21After many years of driving by the Super 8 in McCall, and needing a last minute booking, we decided to try it. My review title says it all…it was great but noisy. I gave the things that matter…staff, cleanliness, location, value…5 stars because they were fine. Not 5 star hotel level but staff cared and things were clean so I had no reason to knock it. But the thin walls and floors? OMG. We could hear every move the people upstairs made (including using the bathroom). We could hear conversations, TVs, luggage being zipped up, any water running, bathroom use, alarm clocks, etc. ALL OF IT ALL THE TIME. Finally had to get white noise apps going on our phones to block it out.
Though the chairs in our room need replacing as they are very worn, the room had some recent updates and was clean. The microwave slides off the top of the fridge when you push buttons if you don’t hold it down so be careful.
If the noise thing doesn’t bother you & you’re on a budget, then definitely consider staying here. If it does bother you and you need a full night of sleep but also a budget friendly stay, use a white noise app
The free breakfast was decent and had some eggs for protein. Also oatmeal, cereal, milk, juice, yogurt, waffles, bread and of course, some sugar bomb donuts.
24.08.28It cost more than i usually spend for a room. But this has alot more to offer. The room was clean, i found the bed comfortable. When i arrived Cassandra was very friendly and helpful. Glad i chose to spend a little more on this trip. Always nice to have your own space when visiting family and not wanting to be in there way.
23.09.14I always thought of Super 8 as bottom of the barrel accommodations, but this changed my mind. I was very pleased with the cleanliness and nicely appointed rooms. I would definitely recommend this hotel for the budget conscious.
