24.02.07Excellent location to focus on skiing on the hakuba 47/gyoru resort. Can take the shuttle bus to the Gyoru resort from bus terminal and walk 5 minutes to reach the resort. We were provided both breakfast and dinner, absolutely phenomenal for value as we weren’t bothered to go in to the city for food/sightseeing as we were too tired. Staff can speak english, chinese and Japanese. May seem initially intimidating however all of them were super lovely with mutal respect for each other. During night times you can also use the night demand taxi bus which costs 500 yen so if traveling as 1 or 2 very affordable but if in bigger group would suggest taxi. Food was nothing spectacular however very much edible and honestly beyond expectations. Obviously not the kind of food of restaurants but enough to keep tummy full and happy. The staff may be hard to reach by email so would suggest phone would be best communications. Honestly would come again for the bang for buck.

23.04.19Hotel room was good enough for my family but the best part of our stay is the customer service provided by the manager and hotel owner Sakamoto san. We were the only guests in the hotel as it is no longer winter season when we went there. Sakamoto san provided all the info we needed - which restaurants to go to and how to go there. Since his staff is already on break, he was the only one left to assist us. He cooked a very sumptuous japanese breakfast for us and even offered to drive us to the ski resort and became our interpreter so we can purchase tickets for the gondolas going up the resort. Overall, it was a memorable experience. Japanese hospitality at its finest!
26.02.13I arrived to the room to be welcomed by an overwhelming smell of mold. I immediately opened a window to let the room air out and sat on one of the worst mattress I’ve ever experienced. As I looked around the room I noticed wall paper peeling off the wall, stains on the wall, hair stuck to the wall, and wires hanging out of the ceiling. I went to the bathroom to inspect and found mold on the shower curtains. As I tried to decide if I could stand to stay in the room I shut the window and the smell of mold hit me again. I left the room and went downstairs to express my concerns to the staff. I talked with the assistant manager and asked if I could get a refund as I would be unable to stay in the room due to the smell and cleanliness of the room. He agreed to give me a refund and apologized. Now Agoda is telling me that the hotel is refusing the refund. The only good thing about this hotel is its proximity to the beginner lift. Definitely not worth the money.
