Howard Johnson by Wyndham St. George Hotel & Suites

I stayed at the Howard Johnson by Wyndham St. George Hotel & Suites for two nights and it was a very disappointing experience. The room was extremely dusty and clearly not properly cleaned. The AC/heating unit had visible dust buildup and was positioned blowing directly toward the bed. I spent the entire night coughing and sneezing and got almost no sleep. I don’t typically have allergy issues, so this was clearly related to the condition of the room. In addition to the vent, the tops of the furniture and even parts of the bed frame were dusty and dirty. This was not minor — it was clearly visible. I have uploaded photos showing the dust accumulation as proof. The mattress was very uncomfortable — you could feel the springs — and the pillows were stiff and uncomfortable. Between the poor air quality and the uncomfortable bedding, it made for a terrible night. The overall property felt poorly maintained. After the first night, I asked to cancel the second night due to the condition of the room and how it affected my health, but management refused to accommodate the request. For the price paid, this was far below acceptable standards. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it unless significant improvements are made to cleanliness, air quality, and overall maintenance.

Motel wasn't the cheapest so I thought we would get something decent for the price. Unfortunately I was wrong. Luckily it was just my teenage son and I, so we got by. My wife and daughters wouldn't have stayed there. Beds appeared clean, but were very firm. It was best to keep shoes on when walking on the carpet and bathroom area. There were a bunch of dead ants and hair on the bathroom floor and tub. The walls and grout areas in the bathroom desperately need to be wiped down as you could see the layer of dirt and grunge on them. TV worked fine, water was hot and the AC seemed functional. Overall it beat sleeping in the truck, but will avoid this "hotel" in the future.

I was in town for a surgery and needed an accessible room. The accessible nozzle on the shower handle was completely broken. I went to pull back the sheets and found flossers in the bed. Someone had flossed their teeth and just left them in the sheets with hair and stains. They transferred me to a new room that was not accessible so I could not shower the next day due to safety issues. I pulled back the top blanket to find hair, pubic hairs and stains. This was the most disgusting experience I've ever had at a hotel. The cleaners don't even change the sheets and the accessible room is not even functioning right. AVOID due to cleanliness issues.
