Raven Inn Whitehorse

I booked for a superior king Mountain View room after I saw the pictures of the view in Agoda room listing but was given a room that faced the parking lot and the block of apartment. When I checked with the front desk, they insisted the room given was correct, it used to have unblocked mountain view but now a new block of apartment has came up blocking the views. I told them that they should not have listed the room type as Mountain View and charged higher than other non Mountain View rooms. I was told that I should have visited the hotel’s official website for updated room descriptions instead of relying on Agoda’s. Isn’t it the property owner’s responsibility to update the information of their property on any listing they are on? Felt ripped off and wondering how they got such high ratings. Utterly disappointed. A quick and easy service recovery could have been made but their front desk staff are poorly trained.
