26.03.20Fantastic location, right in old town. Walkable to Hagia Sofia, blue mosque, and grand bazaar.
Staff was very helpful in booking transport etc
The rooftop bar & restaurant was very cool and worth a visit for the view from the top
26.01.15We booked Amiral Palace Hotel through Agoda as it was listed as a five-star hotel and nowhere mentioned that it is a boutique property. In reality, this hotel does not meet five-star standards and is closer to a 3-star boutique hotel.
We booked two Deluxe Suite rooms, but upon arrival we were given rooms in a separate side building with no lift. My mother has arthritis and cannot climb stairs. When we requested a room change to the main building, we were told the hotel was full. They managed to move only one room, forcing our family to stay in two different buildings, which was very disappointing as we were on vacation and wanted to stay together.
Although the location is good, the hotel is situated downhill, making it completely unsuitable for elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues.
The breakfast was very basic, nowhere near five-star quality. Housekeeping was below average—honestly, my kids could make the bed better.
Overall, this hotel is not worth the money. Istanbul has many better hotels at the same price point, including true five-star properties with proper facilities and service.
Think twice before booking Amiral Palace Boutique Hotel, especially if you are travelling with elderly family members.
