My wife, her mother and I loved our stay here. My wife and I have stayed in numerous hanoks, guesthouses and hotels throughout Korea and this was definitely the best. It is beautiful and elegant and the owner, Mr. Ryu is a true gentleman and fantastic host who makes you feel at home and provides for your every need. He gave us a personal tour of the house, showing us all the historic artifacts handed down through the many generations of his family. He is rightfully very proud of the house and motivated to share the history and traditions of his family, the house and the village. The place is so beautiful, peaceful and steeped in tradition that you just feel good when you’re there. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the traditional heated floor keeps the place nice and warm. The stay includes a fabulous breakfast of traditional food - delicious and beautifully presented in a private room with a lovely view. The location is great, in the middle of Hahoe Village. You can drive your car in after 5 PM and park right next to the house. One thing you should know is the bathrooms are in a separate small building across the courtyard, but we didn’t mind and they are very modern. The whole experience was just lovely.If you’re looking for a really special place to stay, this is it.

고택에서 잠들고 난뒤 조식도 넘 훌륭했고 집안곳곳 설명해주시는 시간이 매우 뜻깊었습니다. 또 머물고싶아요

제대로 된 고택체험을 하고 싶다면 추천드립니다. 다만, 화장실이 야외에 있고, 정말 고택이라서 불편함(예를 들면 바람이 들어옴)은 감수해야 합니다. 가격대비 만족도는 시각에 따라 다를 수 있는데, 정말 고택체험을 원하면 추천드리고, 그렇지 않다면 고민해 보시기 바랍니다. 에어콘이 안 보여 한여름에는 어떨지 모르겠습니다.
