My family and I spent several days here in a beachfront and poolview rooms. It’s one of the most incredible beaches we’ve ever seen. The staffs are incredibly friendly and respectful. They offer free pickups and drop-offs from the port. While it’s a bit of a distance from town, getting there is easy and very affordable by tuk-tuk or tricycle, which takes about 5 to 10 minutes.
The only downside is that most resorts and hotels offer free breakfast but this one requires you to purchase it separately. They also don’t serve cocktails at the bar. Another issue is that there aren’t any Do Not Disturb signs in every room. If you’re planning to nap in the afternoon, you’ll likely be disturbed by the staff knocking to do cleaning. Additionally, there aren’t any signs to warn other guests not to play loud music, which can disturb those relaxing.

I would like to express my utter disappointment with the Manager of Anika, the one on duty on May 23, 2026 around 4pm.
My family and I booked a room in Anika for the 3rd time thru Agoda. There are 5 of us, and what we usually do is request for 2 additional beds so we can be together in one room (we are on a family trip afterall).
But on this particular trip, upon mentioning this set up to the front desk, they immediately dismissed my request by saying, 5 people are not allowed. I told them I'm willing to pay what is due just so we can stay togather. I even told them this is not my first time in Anika, but they indicated they have a different manager thus they have different rules. Due to my frustration after more than 6 hrs of travel due to heavy rain, I asked if I can speak to this new manager, just so I can make the request directly. They complied, but only after the 2nd request.
When the manager came, she was already defensive. She had raised voice, drawn-together eyebrows, mouth pursed, clearly she was already upset before talking to me. Without clarifying my request, she immediately cut me off saying "Sir, you already asked us a favor last time, so we allowed your family to stay in one room, too much naman if you ask us again". She even said "diba you stayed in the same room last time?" I was really surprise and got really upset because of how she assumed to know me when all she just mentioned were wrong. Firstly, I did not know her and did not in any way ask for any favors at any point in time. When I stayed in Anika before, there were no problems allowing for more bed as long as you paid for it. Secondly, we did not stay in the same room! Where did she get that idea? What was she trying to imply? I was dumbstruck of how assertive and confident she was, when all she said made no sense to me. I even corrected her many times with the information she was telling me.
The most appalling part was when she suggested that 3 of us stay in the room I booked, and the 2 others can find another resort. Another hotel at 4pm? In an island during peak season? What was she thinking? I told her, "Maam, I came here with my family, do you expect me to have two of us leave and stay somewhere else?" Who in their right mind, a person who works in customer service (a manager no less) suggest a family to separate just because you don't want to yield to a request, that a customer was willing to pay just so they can stay together in a single room. In fact, even the feont desk officer who initially assisted us, suggested the same thing. Is this the immediate solution always offered at Anika to all customers?
She kept pushing the idea that it was my mistake saying "if you booked the correct number of people, it would have showed you that you needed to book 2 rooms". This really proved that she was NOT listening since the beginning of the conversation. I already told her that it was not my furst time in Anika, and when I requested for additional beds before, nobody said it wasn't allowed! Furthermore, I also already mentioned, I want my family in the same room.
I then I asked her if I can refund my initial booking so we can all move to another resort, she said, the booking is non-refundable. In verbatim, she said " Di na mo ka refund kay agoda man gud, mao na ang nakabati kung agoda compared to face-to-face". I was shocked she said this knowing that clients travel from cebu for hours expecting a pre-booked room since most of the resorts are full during peak season. This was just an illogical / unreasonable comment. So I asked her how I can allow my family to stay together in exchange for additional payment (which again, I was willing to pay for). I would even go as far as cramming into a small room just so we can be together BUT she was adamant about the request and indicated that my only choice was to book an additional room (an additional 4k per night) on top of what I already booked.
I used to love Anika, but I could not get over this ex

The resort is nice has good view and beach front. All the staff are courteous and friendly.. our room is clean.

The food was great. The waitresses were very cordial and helpful. The front staff Cris and Maricel were awesome. The other two front desk people who attended to us on May 20 in the morning were not at all attentive.
The rooms being containers (crates) felt like a furnace. It took a while for the rooms to be cooled by AC. There were ants crawling in the bathroom. The toilet seat and cover were made of flimsy plastic. The drivers who picked us from the port (Nikki) and to the port (Ordep) were very nice and helpful. We could not understand why they wanted our room numbers every time we left the resort but didn’t ask us every time when we return. We wish they would provide free toothpaste and toothbrushes. The room was only cleaned once during our stay. We stayed for 4d/3n. Would we return again? Yes for the food. And maybe for the accommodations.

Thank you Annika for the wonderful stay. We loved how nice and accommodating your staff were. My kids loved the pool and beef. We also loved the pool. We’ve been here for 4 times now and we always come back to the same quality service and perfect place for staycation.
