New Town Guest House

Perfect for me; immaculately clean and simple with many personal touches like espresso machines and wine glasses in each room. An elegant and cozy sitting room with good WiFi is a great selling point; few minutes' walk to a wide variety of eateries and groceries. Very gracious hosts; I will definitely come back. Not for everyone; tight stairs are difficult with bags and some may find rooms a bit austere. But really good value for this city.

I cant remember a worse check in encounter with hotel staff with than I had here, where the instant rudeness and hostility I was met with frankly verged on absurd. This place was far from welcoming and I felt uncomfortable my entire stay. I would not recommend here to anyone.

I have thought hard on how to best leave a helpful review. Be prepared to try and find a car park near by. It is paid street parking (4 hours between 8.30-5.30pm) or there is supposedly a 24 hour park approx. 20 min walk away. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The guy who greets you is quite direct but is helpful. It is a bit of a walk to town however manageable.

Room given was on the top floor with no elevator. Room was so tiny shouldn’t even be up for rental. Bathroom was outside the room in the hall. Host was extremely judgemental about us being Indians and made personal comments and dint rectify it.
