Revolver Edinburgh

I had a good stay at this hostel in Edinburgh. The location is excellent and very convenient for exploring the city and nearby attractions. The price was a bit high compared to other hostels, but the service made the experience much better. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, especially the night shift staff who were very friendly and welcoming. I also really appreciated that they allowed me to keep my bag after checkout, which made my travel plans much easier. Overall, a comfortable stay with great customer service in a perfect location.

I got out on mixed room, where I have all female

Arrived early and were allowed to check in right away. Lukas showed us around and was very helpful! Really nice renovation with great services including a vanity room for the girls. Would stay again.

Showed and no staff around, was greeted by workers. Entire main floor torn apart. Had to wander the hostel to find an employee. We were early and understood we couldn't get in, we were offered luggage storage which was in the torn up main room with access by anyone so zero security. Our assigned bed had dirty sheets on it and was unmade so we had to try and find staff again. The kitchen was a pigsty...sink clogged with food scraps, dirty plates and cups on counter, stove top dirty, crumbs and refuse on counter tops. I understand residents have to clean up but staff should check the condition periodically. All in all not impressed. Understand renos need to be done but perhaps closing during this period would have been better rather than having it open without any of the amenities that were advertised available. There was no place to sit other than on our bed as chairs had bags and belongings on them as there were no lockers available to put belongings in. With no lounge, pub, coffee area as per the website there was zero place to sit and relax. At no time were we ever made aware that renos were being done otherwise we would have made other arrangements. Not a very happy or comfortable stay and we were happy to get out of there.
