25.05.16The Almanii B&B was something in between a b&b and a hotel. We were in a home, but staff came in and cleaned the room while we were out. Mary O'Leary, the owner, is lovely and accommodating, helping us arrange an early-morning cab ride and supplying other information. The room was charming and comfortable, if a bit small, and the dining area had a shared fridge and simple breakfast items, including some delicious homemade baked goods!
I only had two small complaints:
1. The location was fairly far from the center of town (a 30-50 minute bus ride). I would have liked to have been closer to the action.
2. The bathroom faucet was one of those annoying push-down faucets that you find in public toilets, which means the water never stayed on for long (only 2-4 seconds at a time), and it was hard to control the temperature. It was extremely annoying and difficult to wash my face or brush my teeth. I ended up mostly using the shower to wash my hands. I hope the management will consider changing the faucet to one you can easily lift up to turn on.
Other than that, it was a really lovely stay that I would recommend.
