25.10.26This place isn’t fancy, but it’s decent if you’re after something cheap and simple. The rooms are basic and a bit dated, linens are clean enough for an overnight stay. It’s not a five-star hotel, but it does the job if you just need a place to sleep and aren’t too fussy. Good value for budget travellers or anyone looking for a last-minute option.
Since staff are on-site only from 8am, it’s recommended to check that all electrical items work properly before they leave, as they are unusable overnight if faulty.
24.07.24I must say it was the cheapest accommodation we could find however things like covers on duvet inners are things I would have expected, no smoke alarm on the wall, the heater lite up like a light so couldn’t use throughout the night, the double bed was tiny- our feet hung off the end and folded terribly to the middle. Sink without cloth or dish soap makes no sense to me, no tea towel for dishes. So many simple things that would have made a cheap stay so much more comfortable.
22.12.06Booked a basic cabin just beds with shared kitchen and bathroom. The staff where most helpful and friendly room was clean tidy the area
22.10.09Camellia Court is a basic ‘old school’ NZ motel. It isn’t fancy, but is priced accordingly. The beds were ok, the bathroom facilities were clean, and the kitchen had what was needed (though more cups would help!). Staff were lovely, and the atmosphere was friendly.
Town is a little far to walk, but this meant that the location was quieter. Parking was not a problem.
22.05.17Nice clean sheets and everything we needed. Cost was the big driver and it delivered to expectation.
