I stayed at the Luci Di La Muntagna Hotel as it was my first time to Sardinia, admittedly I booked a small Mountain view room (which was a view to the wall and road outside) for 220 euros a night as my plans changed and I booked at the last minute. The room was very small and the air-conditioning hardly worked. There was no way to control the temperature and it sounded like a chaff cutter it was so noisy. I tried to change rooms and they offered me a room with a view for 1500 euros a night (nice try - not likely). But I’ll continue with the likes and dislikes: Likes: Lovely views from the pool and the bar deck (when it opened at 5.30pm) Most of the staff were very nice and helpful, especially Davide the head bar man who made the trip extra memorable with his professionalism and great ability to mix drinks and make guests feel welcome. Negatives: - Breakfast was poor and they served cold scrambled eggs which I couldn’t believe. - One pool towel in the morning only, the girl attendant was kind enough to give me two which I handed back when I walked into town to free up a sunbed, only to be told when I came back in the afternoon that they usually charge 5 euros for each extra towel used each day. I should have just left them on the sun bed all day. (I’ll add the pool attendant girls were very nice and polite) - There are no proper up to date power points in the room. I had to charge everything from the one point that only just fitted my chargers in the bathroom. - Upper deck out from the bar is closed all day and offers the best view in the hotel and would be nice to sit out there and read or have quiet time during the day. In conclusion – I feel the hotels in a great spot but in desperate need of some care and management/owners needs to take control and get the facilities up to date with the rest of the world for the price charged to most guests.

Nice hotel, v good staff. Very expensive area. A few property issues- leaky shower etc but still good. Parking available and a very basic gym
