Nobu Hotel Marbella

Fantastic stay at Nobu. Great location and everything about the resort is first class. I would recommend requesting for a quieter room as the plaza rooms can be quite noisy other than that superb hotel

Had a wonderful long weekend stay at the Nobu Hotel with my wife. I booked a room overlooking the courtyard, which was actually very loud in the evening and I was not aware of. The next day, when I spoke with the staff about the noise they very kindly offered to change rooms to a quieter part of the resort. Everything felt seamless with the staff very attentive and kind and the facilities are amazing, from the restaurants to the gym to the room. I highly recommend the Nobu for anyone wishing to stay in the best part of Marbella.

There is much to like: the beautiful gardens, the facilities in general, the really fantastic breakfast by the sea. The many smiles by the very friendly staff… including the front desk. However, we have not been told the truth, repeatedly. We booked a Suite as we had read in some reviews that rooms closer to the main area could be noisy. At the check-in, we extra mentioned that point, that we needed a quiet room. We were assured that our room was the furthest away from the Plaza and that we should not hear anything. Yet, every evening we had noise, bass from loud music, people. After the first night, we reported that it was loud but were told that the first night was an exception, apparently there had been a party with 3 times as many loudspeakers than normal. The friendly staff apologised and promised that it was out of the normal (they could have mentioned this to us at the check-in, but well…). We then noticed right afterwards, that there were preparations for some music awards, hence we checked again with the reception and got promised (!) that it should not bother us, „it would only take place indoors“. Which was of course not true, it was very noisy, even louder than the first night. We again mentioned it the next day and again were ensured that our room was the furthest away and we should not hear anything. The next evening it was Saxophone/Jazz that kept going, plus a partying neighbour who started already in the afternoon… We liked everything else, but the repeated promises and then again disappointment when we noticed it was untrue was not nice. The parties/events seem just part of the place. We did not understand that we were not just told the truth from the beginning. Hence - just be aware of the fact that there are a lot of events and parties in the evenings, when you book. For us, it unfortunately overshadowed our otherwise nice stay, as we needed some quiet days.

This is an absolutely fantastic place to stay if you’re looking for a lively atmosphere and excellent service to enhance your experience.

Beautiful facility, great staff, good location. Landscaping is just gorgeous! Great restaurants on the premises and amazing, fabulous breakfast included in the price. Also loved walking the Golden Mile. And complimentary valet parking. What I didn’t like was the part of the beach with free sunbeds, it’s pretty terrible. One needs water shoes to walk into and in the water which the water was also not very clean. At times it was difficult to get a bed at any of the pools and the beach. Due to crowds. The nearby Nagueles beach was much better (right on the other side of the peer). Water was very clean and beautiful. However, note that water is very very cold, even in August, due to current.s. The hotel gets very busy and noisy at night till at least 2:00 am but this is to be expected. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Our room was in the Nerja section and it was facing the gardens and Cipriani’s restaurant. The room was beautiful and very spacious. We were originally put in a smaller and less attractive room with outside the complex access which was a pain, but we’re transferred to Nerja after we requested the switch. I was happy after that. I would recommend this place.
