Hostal Poncebos

Very good location for the Cares Gorge and the Bulnes funicular. They serve an excellent breakfast and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Only 5 minute walk from the Funicular station. No need to arrive early for parking space. Even though need to use the shared bathroom for the budget room, there is a sink inside the room so it's very convenient. Also there are 5 bathrooms to be shared by 10 rooms so no need to wait for bathroom at any time. Breakfast was included with ham, cheese, toast, cake, juice and coffee and were more than enough. The 3 courses set dinner including wine is value for money. Highly recommended for visiting Picos de Europa

Loved loved my stay at Hostal Poncebos. I was in the area to solo hike for 3 days and I couldn't have found a better place for location (walkable to all the trailheads that I wanted), accommodations (super clean and comfortable room, shared bathroom), food! (the restaurant was fantastic), and the price couldn't be beat. Would definitely recommend and stay again. The only issue is that it could be a little noisy with different doors opening and closing at high times but I would just bring ear plugs next time. I often travel with them but just forgot this time.
