Hotel San Millan

Good overlooking views of the city. Half an hour away from the centre but you can find everything you need nearby. There's a bakery behind and a church on tip of the hill nearby. A few minutes by car from either the train or airport. Everything was a breeze.

I had a double room , which was very spacious. The room was very clean and very well priced ( could do with a small fridge) . There is a spa and gym at the hotel ( extra cost ). A small bar , that serves up very tasty snacks at a very good price. I also used the restaurant in the evening and the 3 course meal with wine & water priced at € 19 was excellent. Lastly the staff were very nice and helpful.

Having fallen out with my sat-nav we eventually found the hotel and discovered the car park closed off for a National Cycling event which meant we had to park on the street. Not realising the hotel restaurant is NOT OPEN on a weekend for evening meals/ The breakfast is a simple continental style ie croissants,ham cheese and preserves. Unfortunately,due to our visit coinciding with this the cycling event,the small restaurant was jammed with the teams taking part who descended like gannets on the buffet table! On the brighter side the staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. There are lifts to all floors and suitable for disabled or wheelchair users Our room was exceptionally large and the bathroom was a wet room again all kitted out for any disabled persons. It was exceptionally clean and tidy,the beds were very comfortable and we had a quiet nights sleep. This hotel is very handy for the Port or Airport and I would recommend it to travellers if in the area. Other restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel.
