Diamant Blue

We booked this through Acoda and got a reasonable deal. We arrived and the lady that met us was quite pleasant. She seemed surprised that we have booked seven nights but allocated us an apartment. The apartments and in a Fantastic location and have the potential to be some of the best in the area but they are up for sale and feel neglected as far as keeping them in good condition. The furnishings are very basic and some of the kitchen items had seen better days. We told the lady the we had our son, partner and baby joining us for four nights at the weekend and she said it would be an extra 10 euro each adult per night so 80 euro extra. We were happy enough with this and informed her that the we would need bedding, towels and a cot for the second bedroom. When the arrived none of these items had been supplied even after several reminders. Them later on their first evening she arrived with a guy who informed us he was Russian and that we needed to pay and extra 160 euro for my son and his partner to stay. We refused having explained we had been been quotes 80 additional euros. After several minutes arguing with this very rude man he accepted the 80 Euros we said the lady started to make the beds and we asked about the cot of the baby he than said that would be extra. We have stayed in many apartments and houses in Cabo Roig over the years and left excellent reviews for most of them, This place we would not recommend until it is sold and given a new lease of life.

To be honest I wasn't expecting much from this property as I heard a few bad reviews but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be. The apartment was very spacious and clean. Had everything wr needed in it. Now for the bad parts. Check In was from 2pm but when I went in at 4.30 first of all there was no one on reception so I had to make a call to someone on the phone number on the reception desk, to be told the rooms weren't ready. We went back at 5pm and gor our rooms. She asked me for everyone's passports so I told her I would drop them down to her. Everyone I passed over the 4 days there was no one there to give them to so I gave up on that. One of our apartments had a foul sewer smell on a number of occasions during our stay, like eye wateringly bad 😱 also I couldn't move on the bed as every part of it creaked. I was waking the others at night when I turned. Our first morning when we went down to the pool we were told it was closed for 4 days, we were not told this on check in, in fact we got no details of the facilities or of how to check out or anything. Another guest told us the pool had been closed for 2 weeks at that stage 😱 all in all the apartment was clean and spacious but the check in, facilities and smell let it down big time.
