Eurostars Matosinhos

Eurostar Matosinhos is located 200 meters from the Matosinhos beach and 10 minutes walk to the nearest tube/tram stop. Except a modern dinning area with tasty continental breakfast, it has a swimming pool, a sauna and spa facilities. The rooms are spacious and clean. Opposite the hotel, there are few restaurants serving typical Portuguese cuisine.

The view and room were more disappointing than I expected. It was close to the beach and I could see some of the sea. The staff was kind. The most satisfying thing is that there was a nice restaurant right next to the hotel.

Excellent hôtel à Matosinhos. Le personnel était extrêmement gentil et serviable. Ils ont tout fait pour nous aider, ont proposé plusieurs alternatives pour nous (notre bébé devait faire la sieste l’après-midi mais la chambre devait être libérée à midi). Les chambres étaient très propres. La climatisation, bien que en fonction on ne l’entendait pratiquement pas la nuit. Nous avons voyagé dans des palaces de luxe et même la elle s’entendait. Très bon point pour l’hôtel de ce côté. C’est un hôtel que nous reviendrons à coup sûr. On ne peut que recommander les yeux fermés.

Great location to the beach and restaurants. Friendly staff, nice lobby with citrus water available. However the shower in our room smelled horribly of mold. You could see black mold in the drain. I had to keep the windows in the room open most of the time because it smelled SO bad. The steam room also smelled of mold so we avoided it and only used the sauna. The gym could have more equipment available, it was very basic with one of the few machines out of order too. Its a decent property but clearly needs some improvements.
