SML was very good. Simple but nice room with balcony overlooking lifts and slopes. Took the snowcat van “Betty White” (for a fee) up to the lodge since we arrived around 10 pm. Very cool. Hot tub was broken for first 3 days which was a big bummer since we were sore from skiing the first day but they got it fixed, thankfully. Food options were good, but limited; the bar at Goat’s Eye Lift had the best daily food specials. Tons of snow while there so there was lots of powder but visibility was limited most days. Lower section of mountain was better with trees when top was too windy or bad viz. Recommend staying for 4-5 days. Longer than that is a bit isolated due to gondola times unless you plan very intentionally. Shout out to Alicia in reservations who expertly handled a booking error by a third party. She was a rock star!

Staff super friendly, they drive our family up and down the hill every day, very nice and patient, made my kids laugh. The gondola was well busy during daytime, as the hotel customers we could take early or late rides without any rush is super thumbs-up. And the view ! Only five minutes away from the hotel, lying beautiful lakes, deers walk beside us. Next time I might just stay in the hotel for 3 or 4 days, not going to other crowded places in Banff

Pros: Its beautiful, modern architecture, cozy atmosphere, and very clean. Friendly staff and the restaurant was decent. Cons: you have park your vehicle at the base and wait 15-20mins for a shuttle to take you up to your lodge which is another 10min drive. Same for coming down. After a certain time, the shuttle service will be replaced with a gondola which will take even longer. (30mins)There is no AC unit so if you’re a hot sleeper then you must open your window. If you leave the lights on and the window open, it will attract hundreds of gnats inside. There is no mini fridge. You are located 20mins away from Banff town.

We enjoyed our gondola ride and the Standish express which took us to the top of the mountain. We were able to hike the 3 lakes Maia and Brittany were so helpful and always greeted us with a s.ile. All the staff were fabulous and so attentive to all our needs The hot spa was relaxing after a long day of driving. We were satisfied with our stay here and will return if we go back to Banff Thank you

Great spot - free parking and gondola 5km into a ski resort which is beautiful . Room small but Ok , good pub on site and enjoyed sitting in the sun having a beer. Free chairlift to a number of trails - amazing views!! The only downfall was the restaurant - food was awful. Overall however great stay and special mention to the staff who were great
