The Celtic Manor Resort

Many parts of the hotel are tired and in need of an update. The coctail bar had big padlocks on it, the back exit to the resort was bloocked off, causing longer journey time to Newbridge On Usk Restaurant. They had insufficient mini bus drivers, not enough staff behind the barn sand and found ourselves being ushered out of the restaurant at 9pm, to avoid a 2 & half hour wait for the next minibus to reception. Drinks are extremely expensive, and not great value compared to other 4 & 5 star hotels. Stayed in much better. They are trading off their old reputation from 20 years ago, but neither the service or facilities warrant the prices / costs.

Thank You Celtic Manor once again for a very lovely overnight stay! The quality of ambience seems second to none n such a palatial venue really makes one’s heart sing ! Food for the soul, especially as it looks out in my special childhood playground in every direction and as we live in another part of the British Isles The Celtic always signifies the best part of of what we think of as Home! Great hotel facilities were excellent , however there were a few hidden costs. Room only rate was low, but add breakfast , food, drinks and parking and the cost increases exponentially!! So you may think your getting a good deal but it all adds up
