Macdonald Frimley Hall Hotel and Spa

It was a bit hard to find the location first. And had to wait ti 2:30 to check in. But the staff were lovely. And all the facilities were clean and nice. We had a nice breakfast too. Lovely little gateway overall.

Rates were heavily inflated for Ascotiwithout adding any extra benefit... and school prom was on which meant no seating outside when we came back. Carpark busy. Room was OK, beds comfortable. Layout meant no power sockets next to bed for phone charging. Bathroom was dirty - towel was dirty on arrival and floor had mould in the grout. Fridge was turned off. Hotel not very accessible - no lift or offer to assist with lifting up the stairs, jug in the room was heavy glass which was hard to carry when partially filled with water. Fridge was not pre cooled so unusable. Breakfast was nice. Pool was nice but too busy due to it also being a fitness club. School prom was on so noisy in the evening. Staff didn't appear happy / overly friendly appearing to focus purely on if payment had been made when checking in and checking out. Note options for traveller type don't allow for 2 friends.

Stayed for 1 night and it was lovely. Room was clean, breakfast was great and the spa was a nice addition in the morning. Would happily stay again.

In serious need of a refurb. Staff are polite. Facilities dated and worn.
