Roman Camp Country House Hotel

We have been going to thackray house( Roman camp as it was) for several years now. It was in need of a freshen up and the new owners have done this very sympathetically. The hotel had just reopened a few days before our stay and although staff were just getting used to the hotel and routines they were all very professional, friendly and welcoming. We had dinner and breakfast, both were excellent. Dinner was only served in the bistro at the moment and as one of our party has mobility issues, this was not great for them , particularly returning to hotel after dinner( pathway is small stones) . This is something that the hotel will be looking at. We will certainly be going back for hopefully another few stays.
