Excellent hotel in a good location near to Galway city.

Staff on reception and in the breakfast room were excellent., as was the breakfast. Overall very comfortable.

As one of the only few good hotels in Lough Rea town, Loughrea hotel and spa did make our stay brilliant. We are on the lake view room. Although the view highly depends on the weather, we did get good weather on our stay. The best thing and highly recommended thing is the restaurant. I did not expect the taste of the food but on our first night there we all love the food so much. The roast of the day is delicious. Why this is important? Because we have viewed the whole town and Lough Rea town needs a good restaurant which this hotel already provided. Food is very delicious highly recommended. The only thing which can be improved is the light in the bathroom but it won't affect the overall experience.

We used the hotel as a base to express Galway and the surrounding area. The family room was spacious and we had comfortable bed for our 2 night stay. Good location to explore the surrounding area. We had a meal in the restaurant which was good but slightly pricey for the what we got. We were able to access the rooftop bar during the week however the bar itself wasn't open but they were happy for us to take drinks up there with us. I would recommend this hotel for a family stay.

Myself and my Girlfriend came here for our birthdays and we were delayed when our request for an upgrade and a birthday welcome pack was granted for the small additional fee of €50. The staff are very accommodating and the spa is a real treat. If we are back in Lough Rea we will certainly return!
