Nautilus Beachfront Villas & Spa

Right on the beachfront, but several km out of Coffs Harbour itself, so consider carefully what you want to be doing before booking here. 3 nice pools, but the hot spa wasn’t working during my visit, unfortunately. On-site Thai restaurant is adequate if you don’t want to venture far. I can’t recommend the room though. The smell of water damage and mould (probably from the thatch ceiling) is all pervasive and somehow everything feels damp all the time. If you are sensitive to mould, avoid at all costs. The shower in our room was terrible (it did several forms of ‘jet’, but none of ‘spray’, and good luck in getting any hot water in the basin in under 2 minutes. I was grateful for the dryer since we were here in terrible weather on some days, but the lack of free WiFi in the rooms is unacceptable these days. Tired and dated decor too.
