Loved our short stay, The reception lady was lovely. The motel Was nice and close to town centre. No driving needed. Beds were comfortable. Also great shower 🚿

For a motel I thought personally it was clean, very quiet, and it was so easy to check in and out. 1 min from the beach. Very reasonable price comparing to others. Thank you will be back again.

Short walk into town (<5 mins). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Direct access to beach, free parking and they also had free beach towels and umbrella to use! Rooms were spacious and clean. Would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I (both 80+ Y.O) stayed at this motel for 2 nights. It was clean, comfortable, close to the beachfront action and restaurants, and excellent value for money. Will happily stay here again if we visit Byron again.

We stayed at the Wollongbar Motel for 3 nights and found the location to be its strongest point — it’s very close to the main strip, and having easy access to the beach just across the train tracks was a huge plus for us. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which we genuinely appreciated. The room itself was a bit of a mixed experience. The bathroom was clean, but the rest of the room felt quite dated. The carpet had visible rips, the dressers were dirty, and all of the curtains were dusty. Dishes definitely needed a once over before using. These details made the room feel less well-maintained than expected. We also had an issue with noise during our stay. Two rooms above us were having a party, which made it difficult to relax. Security felt a bit questionable as well, with only a basic screen door used for locking. Overall, it’s a well-located motel with great staff, but it could really benefit from some updates and better attention to cleanliness and security.
