Helpful staff, big complex for food/drink/gambling.

Reef Hotel very convenient.

Good location and clean relatively modern rooms. Nice bar with view. Last time we stayed they had great breakfast but none this time which was disappointing. Receptionist was great

We chose this motel for an overnighter prior to taking the next morning's ferry to Heron Island. The motel is in a great location in Gladstone, easily reached from Gladstone Airport. There are several good restaurants within short walking distance, and only 5 minutes taxi ride to the Heron Island Ferry terminal. Check-in was smooth, and our room was specious, clean, and comfy. There's not a lot for visitors to do in Gladstone which is mostly an industrial town. But we had an enjoyable afternoon in town after our flight arrived from Brisbane, and enjoyed a nice dinner near the motel. The staff arranged a taxi to the Heron Island Ferry the next morning when we checked-in. We're glad we made the taxi arrangement the day before, because the motel desk was not staffed early morning. No worries, the taxi arrived exactly on time, and we dropped our room key in the slot in the motel lobby. All good! We recommend this motel, a good value.
