My room and bathroom was huge very clean but dated. My bed was comfortable and bathroom amenities supplied were good. I chose the Mecure for a few reasons.
1. It was walking distance to Sovereign Hill which I visited (luggage was stored safely for me the following day )
2. I wanted to attend the day spa 'Sanctuary' bookings required and it's very popular so book in advance. My treatment was divine, thank you Mia and I booked the extra for the Hyrdopool and sauna. Tranquil setting and very clean. This is a separate business from the hotel but definitely enhances the facilities.
3. This Mecure offers beautiful views from the back deck of the restaurant looking over water with beautiful gardens. A nice place for relaxing
4. This property is resort style not hotel style offering a calm setting and spacious grounds. A little bit of walking is required.
Overall a comfortable overnight stay.
26.03.10 Stayed here during long weekend and it is beautiful and very peaceful hotel . Room is clean and huge bathroom with all amenities. Staff are real asset to this hotel specially the restaurant staff each of them go beyond the cater guest. I went to restaurant sunday 8/3 with my two kids and during dinner service and the staff made us feel welcome and catered to our requests. Also next morning restaurant staff did the same specially the two Indian staff who was at the restaurant counter and staff who served us was very polite and friendly, made us feel very comfortable and enjoy the experience. Thank you for this lovely experience and keep up the great work !
26.01.26 Mercure Ballarat was a great stay. Clean, comfortable room, quiet at night, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Easy check-in/check-out and a solid location for getting around Ballarat. Would stay again.

26.01.12 Our stay was highlighted by the excellent staff in particular the lady running the restaurant. Cleanliness, Wi-Fi and amenity of our room was excellent. Reception staff were very pleasant and efficient. Will definitely be returning.
