Sovereign Resort Hotel

Reception staff very welcoming and helpful at check in and check out. Stayed in a Pool View room. Clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water and fluffy towels in bathroom. Pool area is very inviting Had dinner in the restaurant, the fish and chip special was delicious Overall recommend this hotel in Cooktown

It was ok. But no cooking facilities and there were lots of beetles in the room.

Pleasant stay at the Sovereign, however, room was a little bit tired..(fittings falling off wall and very noisy fridge). Good central location.

Really an average stay. If u like shit techno booming from the pub next door & pissed patrons at night then this is the place for u. Add day time Reno's & kids screaming their arses off in the pool each arvo this is your dreamboat. Overpriced. Tv hardly works. Ants everywhere. Otherwise clean. Staff are nice enough. Pretty much street parking for guests. Not an awful lot to choose from but I'd be stretching it to want to stay here ever again. Might be better during the week
