26.05.05The stay is good so far with complimentary breakfast. The only down side is the bathroom and aircon. The aircondition is not strong enough to make the room cold. The bathroom is small and the tiles was about to detached on the floor.
26.04.06 the rooms are clean with clean bathroom , but there is no network signal inside the room and the wifi connection was unreliable but complemented by helpful, approachable and kind staff. The location is perfect because its in the Calle Crisologo proper.
26.04.02 I recently stayed at Escolta's Homey Lodge, and while the location is undeniably excellent—right along Calle Crisologo and within walking distance of Vigan’s main attractions—the overall experience fell short of expectations.
Unfortunately, the rooms and the property in general do not match the photos on booking websites. Cleanliness was a major concern, from the bedrooms and bathrooms to the common areas. The garden, which could have been a highlight, appeared poorly maintained with overgrown plants and visible weeds.
The bed linens were also disappointing, showing clear signs of wear—very thin from age and even with some tears—which affected overall comfort.
On a positive note, the staff were helpful, courteous, and accommodating throughout the stay, which I truly appreciated. Breakfast was just average and did not quite live up to how it was advertised.
Overall, while the location is a strong advantage, the property would benefit greatly from improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and upkeep to match guest expectations.
26.03.29 Our 2nd time to stay here. We love this for its location. Perfectly situated along calle crisologo. Best for seniors but choose the room on the ground floor. Staff are very helpful. With basic amenities that you need for your stay.
26.03.25 Room is clean, had the traditional filipino ancestral house vibes. Location is great. Staffs were friendly and accommodating.
