Clear water, great snorkelling just to the right of the resort, delicious breakfast and friendly staff.

Value for money and great location

There’s a love-hate quality to this place that’s hard to shake. The location is genuinely stunning — a secluded bay with crystal-clear water and the kind of quiet that’s hard to find. The garden bungalows are decent, though ours had a persistent toilet smell and the AC doesn’t reach the bathroom unless you’re fine letting every bug in. The highlights: a great cocktail happy hour, a cosy bar area with fairy lights in the evenings, an adorable resident dog, and a breakfast that’s small but solid. The setting alone makes it easy to forgive a lot. Harder to forgive is the service. Most staff are disengaged — on their phones, wearing headphones even mid-conversation, rarely proactive. There’s no service at the waterfront armchairs; you have to go up and order yourself. A handful of staff were warm and spoke decent English, but reception not speaking English felt like a real gap. The quality of the motorbikes is medium, they helmets are in bad shape. Best for couples looking for seclusion. Not ideal for families or backpackers.
