Very disappointing experience. The accommodation itself was acceptable, but unfortunately the attitude of the owner/reception manager completely ruined our stay. We have travelled extensively and rarely encountered someone so unnecessarily rude, hostile and unpleasant in hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. Simple interactions were handled with an aggressive and condescending attitude, creating a very negative atmosphere throughout the stay. Looking back at the other reviews, we unfortunately realised this does not seem to be an isolated experience. I genuinely wish we had paid more attention to previous guest comments before booking and avoided making the same mistake. There are many accommodation options in the area, and sadly I would strongly recommend future travellers to read reviews carefully before choosing this place.

It’s located not far from Lake Matheson, Fox Glacier, and Franz Josef. We stayed on the second floor—there’s no elevator, so you’ll need to carry your luggage upstairs. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped, including a microwave. However, the room is not very soundproof—you can hear footsteps, conversations from neighboring rooms, and doors opening and closing, which may disturb your sleep slightly. Parking in front of the building is sufficient. The shared bathroom and shower facilities are clean.
