Please be aware that the security at Windsor Hotel Apartments, part of Windsor Hotel Hermanus , is abysmal. We had an intruder enter our self-catering apartment early in the morning a few weeks ago while we were asleep, and several electronic and personal items valued at over R70k were stolen. No proper CCTV system, motion sensors inside the property not activated, caretaker unaware of what's going on etc. Owner's response ........ use the security safe inside the apartment. Really?? Lock mobile phones etc in the safe overnight while the room is occupied and phones and tablets are charging? And, no offer of any form of compensation either. Not what I'd expect from such a high-end establishment. Edit: Vagrants congregate and sleep in the bush opposite the hotel EVERY night!
