23.10.08This is a lovely little collection of rooms and bungalows in Sea Point, clustered around a pool. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean, and ours had a terrace with a sea view. But what really makes this place is the staff. Karyn, Riano, Godfrey, Jackie, and all the amazing staff gave us constant warm welcomes, great suggestions for what to do, and fabulous company in the early evenings. We would absolutely stay here again.
23.05.30From the moment we arrived until we left we were made to feel welcome at Blackheath Lodge. There is a daily happy hour, always tea & coffee & cake available, and the breakfast was so tasty. Eggs cooked to order anyway you like along with fresh backed breads, pastries, fruit, yogurt.
The Lodge has a generator for the daily power outages that happen in cape Town. We did not see any interruption in services.
Our room was recently refurbished and was very comfortable. The pool area looked lovely, but the weather was too cool to use.
Blackheath Lodge is a 5 minute walk from the Sea Point promenade. Plenty of restaurants within a 5 minute uber ride.
The next time I visit Cape Town I will be returning to Blackheath Lodge for my South African home.
23.04.12Glad we found here for our first visit to Cape town, very unforgettable sweet memory for both of us!
23.03.29We had an amazing time at Blackheath - the staff were so accommodating and outgoing, the pool was beautiful and it was in such a great location! We would definitely recommend.
23.01.30Standard rooms are a bit tight so go for a bigger one if staying a few days
