The Blades Hotel

My husband and I went to the Blades for our anniversary. It was a 3 night stay in the deluxe suite. I was so impressed by all the detail items in the room: insect repellent, goody items for him and her, the whole coffee station. Everything was amazing. We had our picnic near the swimming pool under the lapa decks and the waiters are so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be going back. Oh and the breakfast buffet; DELICIOUS!

I booked at this hotel. The reviews were mixed but I took my chances after reviewing the facilities pictures. On arrival everything was smooth. My booked family room unit 15 was great. Clean and spacious. The pool sight was to die for. Come dinner time. Its was a let down. The food was pub stylr cooking. Not tasty. The steak ordered by my wife was dry and cold chips on the plate. We did let it slide. Breakfast was buffet. Limited choices and poorly cooked. Cheap muslei and quality. Valentine evening. I booked a table by the window in anticipation of a beautiful romantic evening. Come dinner time. The food was absolutely "crap". From the choices on the menu non was an option to my wife. The food was badly cooked. Pub grub to say the leàst.No effort of finesse was put. You not say it was special valentine dinnet. My wife was nearly in tears. I approached the manager who then offered me choose something else. I chose again from the limited hotel menu. We waited untill we could not them we left for our hotel room. The other guests could not eat the terribly cooked dessert cho8ces. We neither could eat it. It was not with R895.00 per couple. Ambience was terrible. A Doppio Zero dinner would have much better. They need to relook at the chef and food quality. its a shame for such a beautiful hotel

Great place The NYE event was bit of a dud at the place but otherwise everything was nice and great stay.
